Colonial Construction | World Environment Day 🌿

Today is World Environment Day, a global reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. Here at Colonial, we understand that creating a more sustainable future requires action as well as commitment. We are continuously working to reduce our environmental footprint and embed sustainable practices throughout our business. Some of the ways we are currently doing this include:

🌿Operating three electric vehicles within our fleet, with plans to expand the fleet over the coming years.
🌿All cardboard waste is recycled locally through #RaybellandSons
🌿Timber waste is donated to community projects wherever possible, giving materials a second life and supporting local organisations
🌿A zero lunch waste policy is in place across all sites to minimise the amount of waste sent to landfill
🌿We have significantly reduced paper usage across our head office and site offices by adopting electronic systems

Sustainability is not just about one day of action, it is about the decisions we make every day. We will continue to look for opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and minimise our environmental footprint.
